Browser: Mozilla FireFox
Mozilla FireFox is a free open-source web browser for Windows and
Linux.
It is a fast, full-featured web browser that's easy to
use. It has lots of great features including popup-blocking,
tabbed-browsing, integrated search, improved privacy features,
automatic updating and more.
Why do I recommend this?
Mozilla and FireFox should need no introduction to seasoned computer users. FireFox is in every way either equal to or better than Microsoft Internet Explorer. The only advantage Microsoft Internet Explorer has is when showing web sites with highly customized "active" pages based on Microsoft servers. More importantly, FireFox can be run as a portable application from a USB drive. Thanks to the PortableApps.com launcher bundled in Mozilla Firefox - Portable Edition, it leaves no personal information behind on the machine you run it on, so you can take your favorite browser along with all your favorite bookmarks and extensions with you wherever you go.
